Learn about the research that drove San Juan Unified’s decision to create a new intranet page, which found that a majority of staff members rarely or never used the intranet due to outdated links, lack of updates and a difficult editing platform.

Gain valuable tips for preparing your technology team and vendor to ensure a smooth transition, and learn how to mitigate potential roadblocks along the way. About the Presenter:
Hilda Toribio Flores is a Communication Specialist II with the San Juan Unified School District. Within her position, Hilda oversees the various communication platforms available in the district, providing comprehensive training and support for the district website, intranet, mass notification system, two-way communication system and mobile applications. Prior to her recent transition into school communication, Hilda worked as a digital producer and journalist at KCRA 3 in Sacramento, where she primarily worked on breaking news coverage, updating the website and apps, and social media engagement.
Hilda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from California State University, Stanislaus. Outside of work, she enjoys diving into a good book, crocheting, and discovering new places with her partner and their two dogs.
