Presenter: Christine Paik, APR, is the Senior Director of Executive Communications at California State University San Marcos, where she leads and implements communications strategy for the Office of the President. Previously, she served as the Chief Communications Officer for the Poway Unified School District for nearly nine years. Christine is passionate about telling stories for a living, which started with a 15-year, 6-time Emmy-winning career in TV news. She is also a published children’s book author: The Girl in the Gold Dress was released in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May 2021. She loves empowering others through teaching and professional development, and has presented on the topic of media relations, video storytelling, AI, and leadership communications for multiple organizations, including NSPRA, CalSPRA, ACSA, SSDA, and more. She lives in San Diego with her husband, two teenage children, and their 3-year-old Maltese Mookie.
