Description

Conference Call Back - Highly Rated 2023 Conference Session

Learn how a communications department of two reimagined, grew and created communications systems tied to analytics for the 16th largest district in California. In August 2021, The Communications department was going through a transition and there was not a unified way to track requests that came through. The communications team researched and assessed the structure and began tying all communications related projects and initiatives to a communication plan that includes the RPIE process. This helps departments and school sites think upfront about goals, objectives and tactics. In turn, we have broadened the reach and have a document that shows the communications steps taken. In addition, we amplified access for story submission by creating a newsletter and news release form for all employees and community members to contribute to. This has been a great way to weave in equity and build our news hub.
