We're thrilled to announce that CalSPRA has been recognized by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) with four Mark of Distinction awards this year – the most of any state! These awards celebrate exemplary chapters that advance the mission of NSPRA through outstanding service and leadership.

CalSPRA received accolades in all four recognition areas:

• Membership Building: Our comprehensive campaign utilized various strategies, including website promotion, Zoom orientations for new members, and incorporating NSPRA prizes into our annual conference. We prioritize showcasing the benefits of NSPRA membership and actively partner with the national association to grow our community.
• Professional Development/PR Skill-Building: Our highly successful School Communication and Engagement Certificate Program was highlighted for its role in cultivating communication leaders. This nine-month program equips professionals with essential PR skills, supports membership growth, and offers relevant, high-impact learning experiences directly aligned with member needs.
• Special PR/Communication Program, Project or Campaign: Our "Strategic Social" initiative for conference sponsors revolutionized how we promote our partners. By proactively scheduling social media posts and streamlining content collection, we significantly increased sponsor visibility and satisfaction, demonstrating innovation in our communication efforts.
• Coalition-Building/Collaborative Communication Efforts: The CalSPRA and VCSSFA Communication Consortium empowers Ventura County school districts with crucial communication support. This innovative partnership provides immediate crisis communication counsel and professional development opportunities, addressing critical member needs and building strong community support for public education.

These awards are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our members and volunteers. We are proud to serve our school PR community and will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do!
