Associate Director of Recruitment and Family Engagement
The Associate Director of Recruitment and Family Engagement will serve as a liaison between the schools and stakeholders, including prospective and current families and community members, and will develop engagement strategies to advance the mission of Extera Public Schools. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate community, parents, students, and staff to be involved in initiatives that support the mission and advocate for the larger charter and public education community.
Develop a parent and community engagement strategy and plan, including related Analytics to track parent/community participation/attendance and results.
Foster relationships with community members to implement family involvement and leadership programs to facilitate the school’s advocacy efforts.
Create partnerships and solicit outside organizations to provide wraparound parent workshops in their advocacy, communication, and leadership skills.
Create partnerships and solicit outside organizations to build the arts programming for students, parents, and staff.
Supervise recruitment and coordinator teammates in identifying and facilitating parent volunteer opportunities that will contribute to positive student outcomes.
Attend community events to build relationships for the school and recruit partners and advocates to participate in the school’s engagement plans.
Collaborate with the rest of the leadership team on integrating parent input to improve
school-wide programs.
Develop and execute communications strategy, including website, social media, paid advertising, and monthly
newsletter, in collaboration with the rest of the leadership team.
Develop and lead a multi-year student engagement plan to ensure that the schools meet or exceed their yearly enrollment targets and oversee recruitment endeavors.
Collaborating with other school leadership as needed for strategic planning, development, and compliance.
Overseeing and managing the advertising and marketing plan, programming, and budget.
Designing brochures, billboards, and other media for family engagement and recruitment.
Creating and meeting fundraising targets.
Applying for grants in related arts, parent and family engagement, and supplementary programming fields.
